Why Automatic?
Jenny's Driver Training offers automatic driving lessons in Dronfield and surrounding areas. I strive to make all automatic lessons enjoyable, fun and productive.
An automatic car changes gears for you giving you less work to do whilst driving. Learning to drive in an automatic is ideal for pupils who may have co-ordination problems, physical and mental disabilities which may mean changing gear is difficult. It is also suitable for any pupil who only ever wishes to drive an automatic car as passing your test in an automatic means you are only legally able to drive an automatic going forward.
Due to the market now shifting towards electric and hybrid vehicles, before long, most cars will be automatic anyway. There is now no longer the significant benefit of learning in a manual vs automatic.

WHAT IS PASS-PLUS?
Pass Plus is a practical driving course that helps new drivers improve their skills and drive more safely. It's designed to help drivers feel more confident behind the wheel.
Pass Plus training takes at least 6 hours and has 6 modules, covering driving:
- In Town
- In All Weathers
- On Rural Roads
- At Night
- On Dual Carriageways
- On Motorways
The course can be taken at any time although it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test.
I am a Pass Plus registered approved driving instructor (ADI) so am able to offer this additional course once you have passed your standard practical driving test.
TOTAL DRIVE APP
I use the award-winning driving instructor app, Total Drive. It is a super useful, all-in-one app for instructors, students (& parents) with smart time saving and progress tracking features.
The app includes diary, pupil records, lessons, payments, progress, test results and much more.
what lesson options are there?
I offer normal weekly lessons, semi intensive courses, motorway lessons, pass plus, refresher lessons and I also do Gift vouchers for a special occasion.
Whether you are a complete beginner, have had automatic or manual lessons previously or would like refresher driving lessons I tailor the training to your needs. I specialise in nervous pupils and those that are faced with medical challenges.
However, I always ensure pupil's learning to drive experiences are fun - that is the best way to learn! I aim to make sessions enjoyable, incorporating games or challenges to help build confidence behind the wheel!
